Can you believe I’ve been hiking for two weeks straight now? File under “Thing I Never Thought I’d Say” along with “I covered 12 miles before lunch.”
The additional 5 km to finish up Segment 11, plus 25 km for Segment 12, made this a long day (18.6 miles). I was so bent on getting through it that I didn’t take many photos, other than this shot from the bridge going into Limogne-le-Haut.
I was very happy on arriving in Figeac to discover a laundromat – an actual one, not the roadside version, though there was one of those as well. Never underestimate the mood-lifting factor of clean clothes after wearing the same shirt for, uh… longer than I want to tell you. (Not the ones I wear to hike in, the one I put on after the hike! Though the other ones were none too fresh either. Seriously considering burning everything I’ve worn when I finish this trek.)
Most of the places I’ve stayed at have included le demi-pension, which is a fixed-plate dinner. It’s usually three courses, and a lot of them have been kind of awful. I’m not much of a foodie, but the hotel in Figeac had the best food I’ve eaten all trip. And fancy!

2. You can wear the same clothes for 4 days before it’s dirty. Normal, inside out, outside in reverse, inside out reverse. =P
1. Cantaloupe and ham. Surprisingly good – the salty ham really brings out the melon.
